Our Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) trained Trainers using sophisticated training equipment give Toyota step-by-step training to our Technicians, Electricians, Body Repairers and Painters.

Our Customer Care and Support Staff are trained in-house and at the Toyota Nigeria Limited Training Centre covering customer handling, administrative procedures and vehicle product knowledge.

Collision Repair Advice

It is only in our Workshop (Elizade Nigeria Limited) that your accidented Toyota Car can be returned to TMC (Toyota Motor Corporation) factory specification because our skilled Toyota trained technicians use Toyota Repair Procedures, genuine parts and approved materials, thus ensuring your continued safety and your vehicle's durability and resale value.

The following steps are given to facilitate collision repair in an attempt to minimize further inconvenience to your person having already suffered the trauma of an accident:

Steps to be followed in the event of an accident

Go to the nearest Police Station and obtain an Accident Report. We cannot carry out repairs without this document.
Report the accident to your Insurance Company. Fill in an Insurance Claim Form, attach the original Police
Report but retain a copy for our Workshop. Record the claim number allocated by your insurance Company.
Proceed to any of our Workshop nearest to you and request for an estimate while providing the following:
A copy of the Police Report
Claim Number
Name of your Insurance Company. However, if you are the one paying for the collision repair without involving your Insurer, you may only need to provide an Accident Report from the nearest Police Station before an estimate is prepared.
To authorize repairs, an Insurance Company Assessor will need to inspect the damage. If the vehicle is with you, please make a mutual appointment with the Insurance Company and bring the vehicle to Elizade Motors at the agreed time.
Before commencing repairs, Elizade Motors require a Job order /valid insurance approval from your Insurance Company quoting the Claim Number. On receipt of the Job order, the job will be scheduled into our workshop- loading pattern. We will advise you of a completion date, which is subject to any additional work being found necessary once the vehicle is dismantled. Please understand that our Customer in this instance is the Insurance Company who is paying for the repair. It is they who authorize which Parts will be repaired or replaced.
If you wish to enquire about the progress of your vehicle during repairs, please call the Customer relations Engineer or the concerned Service Advisor who assisted you at the time of making the Estimate and receiving the vehicle.
To release the vehicle on completion, please bring a release Letter from your Insurance Company and the yellow card given to you by the Service Advisor.

If your Insurance Company's Job Order/Approval instructs us to collect any excess charges, please bring the amount, we cannot release the car without settlement. Personal cheques are not accepted. We do accept Cash, Bank draft

Toyota New Vehicle Warranty Coverage

Warranty Begins
The warranty period begins on the date the vehicle is delivered.

Basic Coverage Period

We will either repair or replace any part that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use except those items listed under "What is Not Covered" for a period of 36 months or 100,000 kilometers whichever comes first. Warranty coverage is fully transferable to subsequent vehicle owners.

Exceptions: The following items specified below are covered for periods other than the Basic Coverage.

Battery

The warranty on battery is as specified by the manufacturer.

Surface Rust and Paint Defects

Surface rust and paint defects appearing on deck panels of pick up trucks is covered for 12 months or 20,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. Surface rust and paint defects on other than truck deck panels is covered under the Basic Coverage of 36 months or 60,000 km whichever is the earliest.

Towing

If your vehicle is made inoperative due to a warranted part failure, towing service is covered to the nearest Elizade Motors service center.

Tyres

Tyres are warranted under a separate warranty provided by the tyre manufacturer through their local distributor.

No Charge

Approved warranty repairs will be made at no charge using only genuine Toyota parts approved materials & trained labour.

Warranty Application

Toyota warranty is valid only within the country to which Toyota Motor Co. exported the vehicle and to the Distributor/Dealer whose name is stamped in the Warranty booklet provided.

What is not Covered

Repairs and adjustments required as a result of normal wear and tear, misuse, for example, racing, overloading, negligence, modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection, improper adjustments or repairs, accident and use of add-on parts/materials.

Exterior

Cosmetic or surface corrosion from stone chips or scratches in the paint is not covered. Damage or surface corrosion from the environment such as acid rain, airborne fall-out, chemicals, tree sap, bird droppings, salt, hail, windstorms, lightning, floods is not covered.

Lack of Maintenance or use of Wrong Fuel, Oil or Lubes

Repairs and adjustments caused by lack of or improper maintenance or the use of fluids, parts or materials other than genuine Toyota or as specified in your Owner's Manual are not covered.

Maintenance and Replacement of Wear & Tear Items is at Owner's Expense

Engine tune-up/lubrication, cleaning and polishing, replacement of filters, coolant, spark plugs, fuses, worn wiper blades, worn brake pads and linings or worn clutch linings are some of the normal maintenance services all vehicles require and are not covered.

Normal Noise, Vibration and Deterioration

Normal noise, vibration, wear & tear or deterioration such as discoloration, fading, deformation or blur due to age/mileage is not covered.

Altered Mileage

Warranty is void on a vehicle on which the odometer mileage has been altered, changed, restricted or tampered with in any way.

Extra Expenses

Incident or consequential expenses or damage such as telephone calls, loss of time, inconvenience, or commercial loss are not covered.
